HAVE YOUR SAY

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community as we prepare our outline planning application for a sustainably located development of high-quality homes and public open spaces.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive concept masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midnight on Sunday 7th December 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our outline planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Shropshire Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

1. In light of significantly increased housing targets from Government, do you agree that this is a sustainable location for the provision of high-quality new homes and extensive public open spaces?

2. In line with local policy, 20% of the new homes will be affordable in a mix of social rent and shared ownership. Is this important to you?

3. What is your priority for future housing provision in the area?

4. The development will create extensive new areas of public open space, including Rea Brook Greenway – an outdoor recreation and biodiversity resource that has the potential to act as an extension of the nearby Rea Brook Valley Nature Reserve, as well as a network of new public walking/cycling routes. Do you welcome this?

5. The development will be gas-free, with homes will built to be net zero carbon-ready including air source heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging as standard. Do you welcome this?

6. Existing high value habitats such as mature trees, hedgerows and watercourse features will be retained as much as possible, bolstered by extensive additional planting to significantly increase tree cover across the site and enhance biodiversity. Is this important to you?

7. The development will generate investment to support local infrastructure. What is your priority for infrastructure investment locally?

8. Are you, or is somebody you know, seeking a new homes in the Shrewsbury area?

9. Do you have any comments or suggestions on the proposed development?
